Ziggy Marley, Snoop Lion and Fortunate Youth On Grammy Short List

Its early days yet, but already, this year’s Best Reggae Album Grammy is gearing up to be the most competitive in recent years. Ode to the release of numerous Reggae albums both from Jamaican natives and other very well established international artist, like Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion. According to a release from tbrnews.com, so far some of the names popping up on the Grammy Short List are; Ziggy Marley, Snoop Lion and Fortunate Youth who hails from South Bay in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA.

Ziggy Marley’s “Ziggy Marley in Concert“, Snoop Lion’s “Reincarnated” and Fortunate Youth’s “It’s All A Jam” are likely front runners among a pool of 50 selected albums who will know on November 11 if they are selected in the coveted top 5 finalist nominees for Grammy Best Reggae Album 2014.

Two other good albums that were released in the period that could qualify for a Grammy nod comes from Shaggy with “Out Of Many, One Music” and Sizzla with “The Messiah“.

The 56th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on January 26th, 2014
